Q. What is The Victorian Training Group (VTG) really good at?

The Victorian Training Group will provide a training experience “worth talking about!” We are a high quality registered training organisation with training expertise across many industries with an extensive range of qualifications available. Our specialities include: Children’s Services, Aged Care, Community Services, Business, Asset Maintenance, Retail and Hospitality.

Q. Am I eligible for any government funding?

Q. I’ve been working in the same industry for a few years, can any of that count towards a qualification?

Absolutely. VTG recognises what you do now and what you’ve done before. Our trainers will spend time with you to help you formalise your individual experience toward a nationally recognised qualification

Q. Who are your trainers?

Our training programs are delivered by a team of energetic, enthusiastic and highly qualified trainers. We recruit only trainers with real industry experience and background so that you can learn from them and their real life work! They love to train – they love to engage!

Q. Why do I have to pay an enrolment fee?

The Victorian Training Group and all registered training organisations must abide by the relevant State Government enrolment and tuition fee policies. VTG in the best interest of students, only charge the absolute minimum fees. Your training cannot commence until the enrolment fee is paid in full.

Q. Will I get to learn practical skills, which transfer directly to industry?

Definitely! VTG trains students in their own workplace, so that skills are transferable directly to the organisation. VTG resources are developed in consultation with industry leaders so they are current and practical.

For some qualifications, where students are not working in industry, it is required that the students do practical placements in workplaces. Practical placement is organised in consultation with the students, so it can be catered where possible to their individual needs.

Q. What are the benefits of a traineeship?

Flexible and customised training to meet the needs of both student and business. Employers may be eligible for Australian Government incentives. On completion of the Australian Apprenticeship the apprentice or trainee will have a national standard qualification set by industry. The employer will have a qualified, skilled employee contributing towards increased productivity and worker motivation.
